The Best Children’s Books

As the kids grow, there is every need to be around them and help them in their development and growth. Parents often appreciate this time and take advantage of bonding as a family and helping them as they begin studies as well. One of the ways of bonding includes reading books together and narrating the various stories that come with different children’s books. Children love this and with time books grow to be their favorite toys, who wouldn’t love that?
The best children’s books for families
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Being young and tiny makes kids imagine themselves as helpless and at times even intimidated. However, Eric Carle tries to make this experience quite bearable for the kids, by encouraging them that they’ll become big one day. Moreover, the book is one of the best picture and color books; which they could enjoy anytime along with counting and learning the days of the week. It’s a great bonding experience for every family, and suitable for kids from ages of 6 months to 3 years.
Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
A good bedtime story is the best thing a child could hear before going to bed. It enhances sleep, and they wake up energized for the next day. Goodnight Moon has won the hearts of many families and parents enjoy reading it over and over to their young kids (6 months to 3 years).
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
Talk of having fun finding and identifying the various wild animals. Like Max, a character in the book, the child is taken through an adventurous experience in the jungle and to make it even funnier; you could have the kid dressed in the costumes like those of max and even crowned at the end of the experience. A reward, not just a hot bowl of super but a favorite snack could be much appreciated after the role-playing. Appropriate for kids of ages 3 to 6 years.
The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss
This book takes the kids through the little adventure, of Sally, her brother, and their fish while their mother is away. A cat shows up in their home and plays with them, although the fish was opposed to the idea. The cat in the red hat shows them a few of its tricks while entertaining them. In the process, a few things are destroyed in the house that has the kids so worried about what would happen when their mother comes home. However, the cat produces a machine that it uses to clean up then says goodbye and disappears before the mother walks in. It’s appropriate for children aged 3 to 6 years.
Taking the time to be around your kid is the best gift you could offer them. As you hang around them, take the time to play with them and enjoy storytelling. Once they are old enough, however, you could sit and listen to them tell the stories as well. This makes their childhood so fun and enjoyable.
